Materials that make each pedestal unique

At Marconn, we are committed to sustainability, using recycled materials that give our products personality and a second life.

Thanks to our variety of recycling processes, each pedestal is unique, reflecting the origin of the materials it was made from.

Urban Recycled

We repurpose urban plastic waste to give it a new life in the casing of our pedestals.

Using recycled plastics from municipal waste plants, we mix and melt them at low temperatures to transform them into a strong and durable product.

Plastics we all recycle at home, turned into sustainable innovation.

Oceanic Recycling with Caps

Together with the company Rotolia, we reuse caps and bottles collected from oceans and beaches, giving them a new purpose in our pedestals.

After a cleaning and shredding process, these plastics become key raw material. As a fun fact, each pedestal can contain up to 1,200 recycled caps.

Oceanic Recycling with Nets

Thanks to our collaboration with Gravity Wave, we transform ghost fishing nets recovered from the sea into Marconn pedestals.

These nets, retrieved from the oceans, are recycled and reused, resulting in pedestals with green or blue tones, reflecting the original color of the recycled material.

Virgin Polyethylene

For those looking for an option without recycled materials, we offer pedestals made from high-quality virgin polyethylene. Although the material is new, it is still 100% recyclable at the end of its lifecycle, ensuring a long-term sustainable solution.

Preliminary study of the manufacturing process

A comparison has been made between polyethylene pedestals and pedestals made of anodized aluminum.

Polyethylene pedestals can be manufactured in two ways: with recyclable virgin polyethylene or a mix with recycled material.

Carbon footprint

Comparative note on CO₂ emissions during the product’s manufacturing process: CO₂ emissions per pedestal:

Compared in %, manufacturing with recycled polyethylene emits 74.9% less CO₂ than aluminum.

Energy consumption

Comparative note on the energy consumed during the product’s manufacturing process: Energy consumed per pedestal:
